We are a non-profit, African-Caribbean group in Luton, formed in 2016 to organise the annual commemoration of those who endured the Transatlantic African Enslavement which coincides with the United Nations (UN) date of 25th March, to 'Remember Slavery' and 'Honour our Ancestors'.
Dear Community,
Luton Sankofa UK have held seven Commemorations in Honour of our Ancestors since 2016 at Luton's Town Hall and have decided to take a break this year to give ourselves time and capacity to review and refresh the format of the event.
Thank you for your unwavering support and in joining us to Honour our Ancestors.
We look forward to being in touch with our plans for 2025.
